I think it’s fair to say that we’ve all watched a bad movie and said, “I have a dope idea for my own film” but you didn’t know the right steps to take to actually make it happen. Over the past 10 years, I’ve read numerous screenwriting books and scripts, attended writing workshops, studied with screenwriting mentors and invested lots of money to hone my craft. All those things were essential to my screenwriting journey but I still needed a system that guided me step by step to get my concepts into a script format. I’ve developed a process that has been extremely helpful and now I want to help other writer’s accomplish their goal of writing a screenplay.
This class will be an overview of the basic steps to take when developing your rough draft in approximately 8 weeks. Whether you complete it within this time frame is solely up to you. It depends on how much time you put into achieving your goal.
What you will learn:
The basic fundamentals of screenwriting
How to develop a marketable high concept idea.
How to write complex characters that will attract A-List actors
How to write a marketable treatment
Essential elements you need to attract producers.
Who should attend:
Anyone who has an interest in learning how to write screenplays.
Writers who have a great idea for a movie and need help executing it.
Writers who feel stuck and need a new approach for their writing process.
I’ve been in this business for over 15 years and have receipts for all my hard work. If you’re going to invest your hard money, it should be with someone that has produced a film for a major network with more on the way.
